My name is Samuel Metzger, and I have lived at the foot of Mount Pilatus for over 20 years. This mountain is much more than just an impressive backdrop to me – it is a place full of adventures and unforgettable experiences. From climbing and highlining to hiking, overnight stays, and flying – Pilatus offers countless opportunities, and I’ve combined them all at some point. This mountain never gets boring!
Together with my team, I offer tandem flights at this extraordinary location. Pilatus is one of the most beautiful mountains in Switzerland, offering breathtaking views of the four-thousand-meter peaks and, on clear days, even as far as Germany’s Black Forest. Flying over Lucerne and Lake Lucerne is a unique experience that never fails to impress.
My second great passion, photography and videography, pairs wonderfully with the picturesque sport of paragliding. This is why we are the first tandem flight company to offer professionally edited videos. With our premium video package, you can capture your adventure in stunning quality and relive it again and again.
Through this combination of passion, experience, and professionalism, we ensure that your tandem flight is not only unforgettable but also as safe as possible.
Safety is our top priority. By specializing in Pilatus, we know every terrain and weather feature and are well-acquainted with the challenges of the mountain. Our extensive experience enables us to minimize the residual risks. Because all our pilots also work part-time in other professions, none of us are financially dependent on flying. This allows us to prioritize safety without compromise.
Every pilot on our team has been paragliding for at least ten years, with many boasting 20 or 30 years of experience. Personally, I have completed over 1,500 flights and have remained accident-free throughout my entire career.
Our equipment is inspected and certified annually by independent testing institutions. In addition, we always fly with a reserve parachute, which is also checked yearly. We provide helmets for our passengers to offer an additional layer of safety in the unlikely event of a takeoff mishap or an unsuccessful landing.
Thanks to the almost 1600 meters (5249 feet) of altitude difference between the takeoff and landing spots at Mount Pilatus, we can guarantee a minimum flight time of 15 to 20 minutes – regardless of the conditions. Compared to other tandem companies, which often start from lower altitudes, our flight times are not optimistic estimates but a reality.
